Are you fascinated by the manuscript paintings in the Aga Khan Museum’s Permanent Collection?

Discover, Explore, Learn & Paint through illustrated lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice how these paintings were made.

Tazeen Qayyum is a contemporary Canadian visual artist born in Pakistan whose work explores the environments in which we live.

EVENT: Course: Learn the Art of Miniature Painting with Tazeen Qayyum
DATE: Tuesdays, January 13, 2015 to February 17, 2015
TIME: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm EST
VENUE: Aga Khan Museum, 77 Wynford Drive, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Six-week class starts January 13! Limited space still available.

Learn such techniques as:

  • image transferring (the charrba method of drawing),
  • wasli making,
  • preparing rung (colour) by creating a jidwal (traditional border), and
  • adding colour and finishes to a painting.

The materials and handouts provided will help you continue developing your skills. Limited to 18 registrants.
