Professor Mona Siddiqui, OBE is a Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies at the University of Edinburgh’s Divinity School. She is an internationally renowned public intellectual and a regular commentator in various media including chair of the BBC’s Religious Advisory Committee. Her research areas are in Islamic law and ethics and Christian-Muslim relations. Her most recent books include Christians, Muslims and Jesus (Yale, 2013) and Hospitality and Islam (Yale, 2015). She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Royal Society of Arts and, in 2017, was listed in Debretts top 500 most influential people in the UK. In 2011, she was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) by the Queen for her contribution to interfaith services.
