Meet the Artist: Nizar Macnojia
Born and raised in India, Nizar created his first artwork when he was only nine years old. A few years later he held his first exhibition in Karachi and has created many commissioned art works in different sizes for commercial and home use. Currently residing in Houston, his artwork focuses on Islamic art, calligraphy, portraits in oil, and watercolor. Quranic verses have been the focal devotion throughout his artistic career. The emotions of relaxation and soothing silence when praying help him bring the canvas to life. Nazir considers Rembrandt, Guljee, Michael Angelo, and Leonardo da Vinci, as his educators. But the time expended in Art Council Pakistan ignited his inner aptitude and passion for colors. His art has always been like a third eye, the eye for colors, patterns, calligraphy, and intricate designs. By putting all these things together, he dreams up the lush curtain of silk that he mask over canvas to share with the world.
Join us at our Gala to meet Nizar and to bid on his artwork.
