Aga Khan Museum: Touching the Heart | Open Mic Night

Don’t miss your chance to perform on the Museum’s magnificent auditorium stage!

Our “Unleash Your Inner Artist” month comes to a close with a very special open mic night hosted by Khalid Esmail (poet/spoken word artist) and Afraaz Mulji (pianist/musician, a.k.a. Maestro Mi).

You’re invited to take the stage and share a piece — poetry, spoken word, instrumental music, or song — that reflects on the question: What is Love?

The event will be hosted by Khalid Esmail (poet/spoken word artist) & Afraaz Mulji (pianist/musician, a.k.a. Maestro Mi).

DETAILS
– 10 slots available (first come, first served)
– Sign up at the door (no advance registration)
– Doors open at 6:30 pm
– Performance slots are up to 3 minutes long. Maximum 10
slots.
– Upright digital piano and 2 wireless handheld mics with stands
available
– No power and no amplification available

The evening includes free admission to our galleries (4–8 pm), and the opportunity to paint, write, or draw about your vision of love (11 am- 7pm). Your work will be displayed in the Museum for the month of February.

Doors open at 6:30.
