It’s a 640 page textbook for anyone new to Swahili or wants to improve or brush up. Step by step explanation with examples and exercises, plus index and a 3,500+ bidirectional vocabulary with a mini-thesaurus. If you are going to East Africa, this is the text book you need.

As with ALL his books, all proceeds go to needy school children in Tanga, Tanzania, the author’s home town.

This book will be of interest to many who originated from Swahili-speaking countries but also the newer generations who travel to East Africa for a variety of reasons: volunteering, climbing Kilimanjaro, sight-seeing, TKN*, being expatriates, etc.
