During the book launch of Prince Sadruddin’s biography at the UN Library Geneva, Amal Ewida Kenawy, a foreign correspondent for an Egyptian newsweekly – Al-Ahram shared that Prince Sadruddin’s contribution in Egypt are marked by a street and buildings named in his honor. She continued that the Aga Khan family’s work in Egypt are well known and much appreciated with significant contributions in the Darb al-Ahmar neighborhood of Cairo where the Al-Azhar Park provides the necessary “green-lungs” to Cairo residents and in Aswan where Aga Khan III and his wife’s mausoleum is located.
Here, you’ll find a link – http://mapio.net/s/66918133/, for the view from Agakhan’s buildings (Batiments) in Al-Sahel’s neighborhood – Shobra – Cairo, which are (the building) known by the name of the street (Saddrulddin Aga Khan).
It’s a well known area not far from the downtown. I think it was named in the seventies but I’m not sure about that. Also, you’ll find the photo of the street in Arabic.

What an honour for the street in Cairo named after Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, whose work during his lifetime has been so recognized recently and his book launch. His vision of the future was so clear. Congratulations to the entire Aga Khan Family for this great honour to their uncle.
