On the auspicious occasion of the Yawm-e-Ali (birthday of Mawla Ali), Dr. Karim Gillani and JollyGul present a special tribute – an original Manqabat composition in Raag Todi: “Ali Fakhr-e-Bani Adam” – Ali is the Pride of Mankind.
The soulful epic poem is written by the legendary South Asian Urdu poet Mir Anees (1800-1874) in Mukhamas (five line stanzas) poetry form. Anees used Persian, Urdu, Arabic, and Sanskrit words in his poetry. Mir Anees is well-known for his Marsia, Nuhas, Manqabat and Nazm.
The heartwarming composition of this song is done by Dr. Karim Gillani, melodious music is arranged by Waqas Ali and the beautiful video is directed by Alizain Mevawala.
