Meet Sonal Bahadur Ali Dhanani, an alumna of the Emerging Leaders of Pakistan program.
Dhanani is an educator and facilitator keen on promoting volunteerism and social action in her community. She is the founder of “Parindey” an initiative working for stress relief through creative remedies. She has, with her team, conducted creative therapy sessions for thalassemia patients, transgenders, less privileged communities, and youth of Karachi.
Dhanani is also serving as a Lead Facilitator with Family Educational Services Foundation which provides training to youth in different schools to promote peace through social action projects in the community.
She belongs to a (Ismaili Muslim community) and is successfully running a community-based educational camp for the last 3 years in the valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan and interior Sindh with the name”Jugnoo”. The camp promotes tolerance for pluralism, diversity, and ethics. It aims to broaden the educational scope of children while inoculating a spirit of volunteerism and community service.
She can and she is making her mark in channeling change through education.
