SONG OF DARAJANI

Our school Darajani we love it so much
It is prouder everywhere for its better education.
Discipline, co-operation is our school motto
With love and co-operation we are building Darajani.

Since 1945 when it was established
When it was called Agakhan it is still thriving.
Discipline, co-operation is our school motto
With love and co-operation we are building Darajani.

Our school is a bridge for passing
From ignorance to achievement.
Discipline, co-operation is our school motto
With love and co-operation we are building Darajani.

For the hardworking teachers we get better
academically and at sports. We also maintain our traditions.
Discipline, co-operation is our school motto
With love and co-operation we are building Darajani.
Everywhere I go Darajani is in my mind.
Forever I will be proud of Darajani.
Discipline, co-operation is our school motto
With love and co-operation we are building Darajani.

  1. Very interesting piece on memories at the H H Aga Khan School, Tanga. Would any of my Ismaili friends have a photograph of the H H Aga Khan Primary School (also Darajani now) in Kigoma as it now or as it was in the `1960s – 1990s. I attended this school in the 1960s and would like to include this in a forthcoming book on my life in Tanzania. Please email it to me shamlalpuri@gmail.com

    Thanks
