“I am an artist, designer, educator, and quiet activist from Calgary, Canada, residing in Paris, France. My name is Tahira Karim, but I also go by Tauska.
Since the start of the pandemic, and according to data from various organizations and institutes including the UN and the University of Geneva, children’s rights and freedoms have been ebbing world-wide.
I am writing in the hopes of catching your attention as I am releasing a children’s book into the world called I Stand Up For Me. This is a free activity book that helps children build confidence and boundaries, and learn to say no.

The idea is to get this book to as many children as possible. I have versions of the book in English, French, and Spanish. The free book is available on my website www.tauska.com starting on December 11, 2021 for 3 weeks. If going to my website is uncomfortable for you, I can send you a PDF of the book – Contact.
I have worked with children of various age groups for many years, in various capacities, and over time it has become my dream to write and release books that can help children gain the autonomy they so very much deserve.
Thank you. And I hope you enjoy the book.”
