Honoring Our Roots: Celebrating The Power of Family Bonds through ‘Celebrating Grandparents’ eBook

In a world where technology often takes center stage and modern life rushes by at breakneck speed, it’s crucial to remember and celebrate the pillars of our families and society – our grandparents. These wise individuals hold a wealth of experience and stories, and they are a bridge to our past. Authored by Aga Khan University’s (AKU) faculty Shelina Bhamani and Laila Akber Cassum, Celebrating Grandparents is a heartwarming eBook that not only celebrates the unique bond between children and their grandparents but also nurtures the values of love, respect, and empathy in the youngest members of our society.

The story is innovatively set up in an all too familiar environment of an online classroom for kids to engage them even more. It subtly tackles emotions of love and sorrow, joy and grief and teaches young kids how to navigate through them while taking care of their grandparents. The book will set a precedent for kids and be a harbinger of positive change in them.
