‘Aaj Raaj Mubarak’ | #ImamatDay2021 | @SlimSulaiman

Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant bring to you ‘Aaj Raaj Mubarak’ on the pious occasion of Imamat Day 2021!

“Let’s celebrate this together! On 11th July Mawlana Hazar Imam succeeded his grandfather, Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah, as the 49th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.

The Ismailis continue to believe in the line of Imamat in hereditary succession continuing from Ismail to His Highness the Aga Khan, who is the present, 49th Imam in direct lineal descent from Prophet Muhammad. Under the leadership and guidance of the Imam, established schools, hospitals, health centres, housing societies and a variety of social and economic development institutions for the common good of all humans regardless of the race or religion.

Mawlana Hazar Imam has guided his murids in matters of faith and worked tirelessly to improve the quality and security of their lives. This latter concern extends not only to the Ismailis but all those who share their lives – locally, nationally and internationally. Lots of love, Salim Sulaiman.”
