As the admissions of 2021 cycle open at Aga Khan University campus in Pakistan, a recipient of the Best Graduate Award, Zahira Amirali Khalfan, of MScN Class of 2020, shares her experience of how studying at AKU has helped her in academia and benefited in shaping her career as a healthcare professional.
While I was applying for my master’s, I was worried about how I would balance my financial responsibilities with my dream of higher studies in nursing. Thanks to AKU, I was offered financial assistance for my first year and my good grades meant that I received a full scholarship in my second year.
The scholarship didn’t just give me financial support but it also gave me the confidence that I could achieve anything. It changed my perspective on what’s possible and I’m now more open to applying for opportunities in any field.
