In this first episode, you will hear Safiya Wazir (Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives), who isn’t only the first Ismaili to win statewide political office, but also someone who made history as a former refugee who won elected office in one of the least diverse statehouses in the country.

On Sunday October 4, NY State Assembly Candidate Zohran Mamdani and NH State Representative Safiya Wazir are throwing down with Ismaili Rise Up team for their FINAL Masterclass on Electoral Organizing. With only 5 weeks left until Election Day, Ismaili Rise Up team is shaking things up for this session — after a 1 hour training, new organizers will join the larger IRU family for a community-wide strategy session to make concrete plans for how we win big in November. You don’t have to be a seasoned campaigner to join this movement — you just have to be willing to show up for the work to center our voices this election.
