Ginanguru.com: Ya Ali Khub Majalis “Virtual Choir” Ginan/Munajat for #ImamatDay2020

Ya Ali Khub Majalis Zinat Kar-Ke, Farash Bichhaai Gaali, O Ali! In the fair assembly,
gloriously adorned with carpets spread on the floor,
Aan Baithe Hay Takht-Ke Upar, Shah Karim Shah Vaali
Our Lord Shah Karim sits on the takht, our Lord Shah Karim, our Guardian.

Ginanguru.com has released a very unique rendition of the Khushali Ginan and Munajat, Ya Ali Khub Majalis. It was first premiered during the special Imamat Day Mehfil on June 28, 2020 and was very well-received by viewers from around the world. After a few touch-ups and edits, it has now been released as a stand-alone video a few days before Imamat Day.

This unique rendition mixes the voices of thirty two Ismailis from ten different countries into one uniform choral rendition. The video shows all singers on the screen while also presenting the text and translations to make it easy to sing along and understand the meanings.

Ginanguru started in 2015 as an Instagram account with the goal of making Ginan translations more accessible to the youth and younger generations of our Jamat. The account posts daily translations of hand-picked Ginan parts for easy-to-consume content. Additionally, Ginanguru has hosted three Virtual Qasida and Ginan Mehfils in the past three months of Jamatkhana closures.
