Wohi Khuda Hai (That Being Is God)

Wohi Khuda Hai song explores the very essence of the hamd; a glorification of the Divine. Hamd (“praise”) is a word that exclusively praises God – whether written or spoken.

Muhammad Atif Aslam is a Pakistani playback singer, music composer and actor. He has recorded numerous chart-topping songs and is known for his vocal belting technique. Belting is a singing technique by which a singer sings higher pitches using chest voice rather than low head voice.

Atif predominantly sings in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, but has also sung in Bengali. He has received Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2008, the fourth-highest decoration given to civilians in Pakistan and has also received numerous Lux Style Awards. His acting debut was in the 2011 Pakistani social drama Bol.

Meher Angez is an Ismaili singer who lives in Pakistan and sings devotional songs in Burushaski, Urdu and Farsi languages. “Ishq” is an Urdu song whose lyrics are derived from poetry by Allamah Nasir al-Din Nasir Hunzai – Ismaili writer and poet.

  1. Congratulations Atif, on all the awards, keep it up and to Meher and Shafat too. All human beings are blessed with something unique and our job is to find it and pursue it. Yes it’s very easy to sit back and hear wonderful songs, not even thinking it’s not an easy thing to do, takes a lot of time, practice etc.. besides doing our daily duties. I would say 50 years ago, our parents never encouraged us so a lot of us lost that chance and today the
    world is so entwined with east/west fusion which takes even more time. Keep it up.
