Missing for a year: Shaila Jiwani, Midland, TexasDated: Sep 21, 2017 – For Rafiq and Shemeen Teja, the past two months have been filled with a reoccurring nightmare.

They are still searching for their 59-year-old sister Shaila Jiwani Noormohamed Holt who went missing in Midland in July.

Originally from Canada, Shaila was the youngest of three. Her eldest sister says that she was the entrepreneur of the bunch.

“She’s our youngest and she has the best talent all around in everything. She bakes. She crochets. She decorates. She loves glamorous stuff. This is not what she is.”

Shaila’s son is a Marine who spent the last seven years overseas, but came home in July. That was just 17 days after she went missing.

  1. All we can do is pray and my sincere prayers are that she will be found safe and alive and my grief for her family is what it means when we lose a loved one. When a person passes away, we can bear it, but when a person is missing is even worse not knowing especially today when so many are missing. Prayer is most powerful and leave the rest to ALLAH.
