Rahman Jamal has been named Visiting Professor for Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) at the CDHAW of the Tongji University Shanghai in China.
The Sino-German University of Applied Sciences (Chinesisch-Deutsche Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften, CDHAW) is the official Sino-German faculty of the University of Tongji.
Rahman was also invited to give his perspective on building the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 on a unified platform in a closed-door meeting hosted by China’s Minister of Science and Technology, Wan Gang. This took place as part of the 2nd China manufacturing 2025 Summit focused on global transformation to intelligent manufacturing in Shenzhen (China). It was attended by around 1,000 international experts and received extensive media coverage.
