A little over two weeks ago, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan marked his Diamond Jubilee — 60 years as the 49th hereditary Imam, spiritual leader of the world’s Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations, were held worldwide, bringing together the global Ismaili community, partners of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) as well as government and faith community leaders. Just last week, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan received double honours from Portugal, in ceremonies graced by the President of the Portuguese Republic and recognizing the impact of his work across the globe.
