Aiglemont, 7 October 2016 — Spiritual leader of the worldwide Ismaili Muslim community, His Highness the Aga Khan (Mawlana Hazar Imam) announced that his eldest son, Prince Rahim, and Princess Salwa (Kendra Spears), are expecting their second child. The couple married in 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland.
“It gives me the greatest happiness to announce that Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa are expecting their second child. This wonderful news, which I am delighted to share with you, brings immense joy and happiness to all our family and to the Ismaili community worldwide.” said Mawlana Hazar Imam in an official statement to the community.
The couple’s first child, Prince Irfan, was born on 11 April 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. Their second baby is due in early 2017.
Ismailis gathered in Jamatkhanas around the world to celebrate the happy news.
