Gore Mutual Insurance appoints Farouk Ahamed to its Chair of Board of Directors

Gore Mutual Insurance Company is pleased to announce that Farouk Ahamed has been appointed as Chair of its Board of Directors. Mr. Ahamed is President of ADF Invescap Inc., a corporate finance advisory firm. He is a retired partner and Senior Vice President of Ernst & Young LLP and Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance Inc.

Mr. Ahamed is the past Chair of the Board of Governors of Wilfrid Laurier University, on the Dean’s Advisory Council for Laurier’s School of Business & Economics and a director of Armtec Infrastructure Inc.

Mr. Ahamed has served on the boards of the Freeport Hospital, the Social Planning Council of Kitchener-Waterloo, United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo, the Waterloo Wellington Chartered Accountants Association and the Aga Khan Economic Planning Board, Ontario.

Mr. Ahamed is a Chartered Professional Accountant and an Institute of Corporate Directors Certified Director.
