The Aga Khan University has launched a research hub for academics and professionals involved in the development and well-being of children.
The Aga Khan University Institute for Human Development (AKU-IHD) launched last week will be a virtual institution for university dons and professionals in all fields touching on child development.
The institute aims at consolidating expertise across the university and the wider Aga Khan Development Network to pursue research on human development.
“In its foundational years, AKU-IHD seeks to become a major catalyst, locally as well as globally for advancing knowledge about the earliest years of children’s development and harnessing such knowledge for the purposes of shaping policies and interventions that ensure a strong start in life for all children wherever they may live,” said Kofi Marfo, director IHD.
A noble deed.
