Sunnybrook Foundation is honoured to partner with Rishma and Zahir Keshavjee to support families with infants receiving care in Sunnybrook’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A fund has been established in memory of their son, Khalil Zahir Keshavjee.
Zahir and Rishma, who gave birth to twins, spent several months in the NICU caring for their daughter Meera.
Based on their own experience, Rishma and Zahir hope to make those first few months in the hospital a bit less stressful for families in a similar situation. The designation of support to Khalil’s fund will be managed by Sunnybrook’s Women & Babies parent advisory committee, of which Zahir is a member.
