Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women Canada National Committee is pleased to announce that renowned Indian actress and celebrity, Lisa Ray will attend UN Women Canada’s celebration of International Women’s Day and Canadian launch of the United Nation’s, Progress of the World’s Women: In Pursuit of Justice report amongst a host of influential figures at CBC’s Glenn Goulds Studio on March 22nd 2012.
Lisa Ray is the winner of the Voice Achievers Award, 2010 Hope Award, TIMES Magazine’s Top Ten Beautiful Women of India and Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2002 Star of the Future Award recipient. She is a strong supporter of social causes such as cancer research, girl’s rights and gender equality.
