Safeer Jivraj is a young Canadian living Down Syndrome. He experiences decreased muscle tone, as well as a decrease in his motor and cognitive skills. Despite these seemingly difficult life challenges, Safeer continues to lead his life as a determined and enthusiastic individual. He has plenty of enthusiasm, especially when it comes to completing his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is open to any young person in Canada aged 14-25 and can be tailored to suit an individual’s interest regardless of their circumstances.
