Policy Dialogue on Violence against Women: Research partnership with Aga Khan University Pakistan

Policy Dialogue on Violence against Women:
Society-govt collaboration urged in policymaking

excerpt:

“The dialogue was part of the inception phase of a
larger research project led by the Southeast Asia
Research Centre at City University of Hong Kong. Iran,
China, Indonesia and Turkey are also part of the
project. In Pakistan, the partners are Aga Khan
University, Shirkat Gah and Simorgh.

The research’s aim is to study violence directed
against vulnerable sections of society, especially
women. This is the component for Simorgh while Shirkat
Gah will be working on issues of governance as they
concern women’s empowerment, while Aga Khan University
will be looking at health issues and how they impact
gender injustice.”
