Empowering Communities Through Creativity and Confidence: Dr. Eunice Pallangyo’s Message at AKU Tanzania’s 20th Graduation Ceremony

Aga Khan University (AKU) Tanzania celebrated its 20th graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year, where 71 graduates from various disciplines received their degrees. The ceremony, held on February 24, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, was attended by university leaders, scholars, graduates’ families, and distinguished guests.

The Chancellor of Aga Khan University, Dr. Eunice Pallangyo, emphasized the institution’s enduring commitment to providing quality education since its inception in 2002. She highlighted AKU’s dedication to fostering professional growth by welcoming schoolteachers pursuing further education through postgraduate studies, graduates from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, and doctors advancing their expertise at the university.

Dr. Pallangyo urged the graduates to embrace excellence, creativity, and leadership in driving positive change within their communities. “We need individuals who use their skills for the betterment of society, not complainers. Creativity and confidence are essential pillars of success,” she emphasized.

She also noted that the university continues to expand its offerings, including a two-year Nursing degree program, aimed at strengthening the health sector in the country.
