Gates Foundation lists Sarmad Mohammad Soomar among “120 under 40” family planning & reproductive health advocates

120 Under 40 is organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with sponsorship from Bayer.

About Sarmad Soomar

Sarmad Soomar is a registered nurse and holds degrees in nursing and health policy and management. He is currently involved in clinical teaching and education domain at the school of nursing at Aga Khan University. He is a riseup fellow and champion of reproductive health, rights, leadership and justice. His contributions involve community mobilisation and engagement for health promotion and support in reproductive health and gender mainstreaming. He has also worked with various sensitive populations in Pakistan and internationally to promote their inclusion in health and wellbeing. Recentlly, he has been bestowed with the Impact and Innovation Award by the Aga Khan University on its inaugural Founders Day.
