JollyGul.com is happy to present An Evening of Shukrana (Mehfil) by Taufiq Karmali & Ensemble, a Salgirah 2022 Special Event held in Vancouver, Canada.
Taufiq accompanied by Nasreen Karmali, Laila Koradia, Lola Kassamali, and Shama Judah, deliver 2 hours 18 minutes of memorable and spiritually uplifting performance of Ismaili devotional music consisting of ginans, geets and qasidas.
There is a special memorable section in the beginning of the mehfil where a group of young members of the Jamat and their teachers are on stage with a choral performance, demonstrating their love and commitment to this wonderful musical tradition.
The program concludes with the compelling “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar” a spiritual Sufi song written by Amir Khusrow in the honor of the most revered Sufi saint of Sindh, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
