On 10 October, Dr Farhad Daftary, Co-Director, of The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) gave a masterclass on Ismaili studies and signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a visit to the renowned Parisian institution Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO). INALCO is a prestigious French academic institution with research centres and teaching programmes in more than 60 oriental languages.
The lecture was organised by the INALCO Foundation jointly with the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche Moyen-Orient, Méditerranée (CERMOM) under the Conférences en Sciences des Religions “Viviane Comerro de Prémare.”
The following day, Dr Daftary met a group of INALCO’s scholars to explore areas of possible collaboration between the institution and the IIS, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the INALCO Foundation with a view to further co-operation between the two institutions.
