#Ismaili Talent: Sinaan Odhwani from Pakistan

In 2018, surrounded by fervor and zeal around the Independence Day celebrations in the capital city of Islamabad, Sinaan Odhwani felt that he should also do something to showcase his love for Pakistan. He shared his desire with his parents and sought ideas. His parents asked if he would like to write a poem for his country. Sinaan was excited! His parents helped him translate his sentiments into a poem. The 7 year old then was quick to memorize it. The recital was then captured into a video and shared on social media. It immediately went viral. Sinaan was ecstatic with this recognition and since then continues to render his poems in school assemblies and lives with a passion to make an impactful contribution to his country when he grows up.

23rd March is a national holiday in Pakistan commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on 23 March 1940, and the adoption of the first constitution of Pakistan during the transition of the Dominion of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 23 March 1956 making Pakistan the world’s first Islamic republic.

Sinaan has passion to play tabla and has been learning for the last 2 years now. For Pakistan day (March 23, 2020) he has made a humble rendition for the country and its people.
