Pir Sadardin was a celebrated Ismaili missionary of the 14th Century during the time of our 30th Imam Shah Islam Shah. It was generally a perilous time in Ismaili history for the Imamat. However, it was also a time of eastward expansion and conversion in the Indian Subcontinent (Jampudip). Pir Sadardin and his son Pir Hasan Kabiruddin were key players in this very successful proselytizing drive. The ginan is of “venti” (supplication, request) for the Imam to visit the murids in the newly emerging areas of Ismaili presence.
