JollyGul.com launches Brahm Prakash Service in time for “The Night of Power”

JollyGul.com has just launched Brahm Prakash granth as an on-demand service just in time for Laylat al-Qadr. Recitations of verses are accompanied by synchronized verses and translations display on a custom designed audio player.Brahm Prakash

Brahm Prakash means divine illumination or light. It is a granth (long format ginan) composition of 150 verses written by Pir Shams Sabzwari in the 14th Century.

The mystical poem seeks to guide the murid from one stage to the next stage of spiritual progress towards the attainment of darshan (vision) of the Lord within one’s own self-hood.

The central theme of Brahm Prakash consists of attainment of spiritual bliss through meditation, spiritual experience and the indescribable nature of the spiritual world.

Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power) commemorates the night during which the first verses of the Holy Qur’an were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who habitually retreated from his daily life to meditate in pursuit of a higher spiritual truth. Shia Ismaili Muslims observe Laylat al-Qadr on the 23rd night of Ramadan.

The whole 150 verse granth is recited by Alnoor Saleh. The transliteration and translation of the verses are done by Karim Maherali.
