Diamond Jubilee year of His Highness the Aga Khan was a blessed, and joyous year for every Ismaili Muslim, young and old living anywhere in the world. Memories of Diamond Jubilee year specially will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of every Ismaili, Muslim for years to come.
Occasion of Diamond Jubilee brought about a wave of creativity within the community. Many Ismaili Muslims from all parts of the world expressed their gratitude to Hazar Imam, by showcasing their talents via Arts! Special Jubilee Arts festival was organised specifically for global jamat to showcase their vast artistic skills and cultural traditions.
While limited number of Artists were fortunate enough to participate in the Global Jubilee Arts festival that took place in Lisbon, Portugal in 2018, this did not stop many Ismailis from showcasing their talent by producing new songs, visual Arts, etc throughout the year.
Jubilee Mubarak (composed and Produced by Salim-Sulaiman, Lyrics by Kamal Haji, feat- various Artists from around the world), and Padharo Mowla (Composed and Produced by Salim- Sulaiman, Lyrics by Kamal Haji, feat legend Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Salim Merchant, Jonita Gandhi, Vipul Mehta, Raj Pandit) were two such songs.
These songs became THE songs of the Diamond Jubilee year for the entire Ismaili, Muslim community at large. No celebration was complete without playing of Jubilee Mubarak songs.
First Jubilee Mubarak song released in the year 2017, showed true power of what #OneJamat means. This song was arranged masterfully where Ismaili Muslim Artists from around the world were brought together. While Artists physically were miles apart, this song brought them all together on one musical platform. Music knows NO language, No boundaries, No distance.
Padharo Mowla is a revised version of Jubilee Mubarak song that features legend Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali khan. This song was produced specially for the occasion of grand celebration events that took place July, 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.
While many thought that Jubilee Mubarak was THE best song ever composed by Ace music composers/ Producers Salim-Sulaiman, they surprised us all again by releasing Padharo Mawla. Kamal Haji’s lyrics, and Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s majestic voice took this song to altogether another elated spiritual level! Combination of Jonita Gandhi, Vipul Mehta, Raj Pandit and Salim Merchant, with Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, made this song a complete package, that will forever go down in the Ismaili history as The best song ever produced.
Jubilee Mubarak and Padharo Mowla, both songs have crossed 1 Million+ views on YouTube!
Congratulations to entire team of both songs for accomplishing this great achievement!
Be sure to read Ismailimail’s exclusive interview with Kamal Haji, lyricist of both of these songs from last year where he talked about his childhood days, working with Salim-Sulaiman, and writing lyrics that were sung by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

I met a couple today whose 3 week old infant was in the womb hearing this daily and now, he is almost a month old and this song moves him.
The power of a beautiful tune, the power of a developing brain. The power of music to transform and change brain synapses and rewire or form new connections! Peace.
We are so grateful…for your love Mawla🎻🙏
