Our graduating class of December 1972 was one characterized by many high achievers!
Our class received the highest academic grades in the history of that school both as a group as well as individually and that record still stands today 46 years later. We have produced a substantial number of diverse and highly successful business women and men and professionals of many callings, a number which becomes astronomical if you include our spouses, children, children-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A good cross section of our former teachers and their spouses will also join us to celebrate. Events being organized for our group include very early morning Safari game drives searching for the Big 5(Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Brown Rhinos and Cape Buffaloes) but also Giraffes, Zebras, Deer, Wildebeests, Crocodiles, Hyenas, Cheetahs, Ostriches, etc, and a smorgasbord of spa and related treatments among other things. Golf enthusiasts and aficionados will also be well taken care of as will early morning congregational prayer services for those so inclined. In-between all of those things will be quality down and quiet time for all of us to interact, catch up, renew and reinvigorate our bonds of friendship dating back to our adolescent and teenage years in South Africa during the 1960s and early 1970s.
All of these will round out the fine halal and vegetarian dining, water activities and other such luxuries associated with a hotel like the Palace Hotel in Sun City, South Africa. This momentous event will also be captured and recorded on both video and in numerous still pictures by one of our former teachers, who also happens to be a professional photographer. It will be an event to remember for a lifetime!
