Hafeez Jamal, Husein Manji, Azin Soltani: Late Night Conversations (LNC)

Late Night Conversations produces original music that emerges from, and inspires, reflection on the commonality of the human spirit. The name Late Night Conversations alludes to the moments of reflection and inspiration that come from the conversations artists have with their instrument in the quiet solitude of the night. The band’s varied musical style is composed of chill out with influences spanning a number of genres including reggae, rock, and pop. Whether it is an electronic performance or a stripped-down acoustic set, their deep bass lines, poetic lyrics, catchy melodies and sweet rhythms are bound to move audiences.

Late Night Conversations is a Toronto-based band playing original music in a lounge-reggae-pop style. In the summer of 2016, they released their debut EP, “Waking Muse” to a sold out crowd at the Burdock, which quickly garnered attention across campus radio stations and charted on CFRC Kingston, peaking at #9 (October). They are being featured by the City of Toronto’s Music 311 program for the Winter 2017 season

Hafeez Jamal and Husein Manji met when they were both individually invited to score a theatrical production in Toronto. The two of them quickly acknowledged a very compelling musical and spiritual chemistry, eventually inspiring them to create ‘Late Night Conversations’. Azin Soltani joined the project shortly after meeting the two while they were performing at a club in Toronto, and they made their debut performance as a 3-piece band at Toronto’s Nuit Blanche 2012. After a few years of performances and releasing a couple of singles, they decided it was time to record an EP.
