Coastweek– The Breast Cancer Awareness Support Group (BCASG) of the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa (AKHM) held a Free Breast Camp at the Hospital.
A team of Pathologists, Breast Surgeon, Radiologist and Breast Nurses from the Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi (AKUHN) came down to help the local clinical team.
A total of 800 women and men were screened, 60 Breast Ultrasounds, 47 Fine Needle Aspirations and 10 Core Biopsies were done free of charge. Needy cases arising from the camp shall be followed through for treatment by by BCASG. A total of 800 women and men were screened for Breast Cancer. BCASG, AKUHN, AKHM and volunteers who made it all happen seamlessly.
