"Scarborough Jamatkhana Diya" Song by Zahira DhalwaniIn celebration of the 10th year anniversary of the Scarborough purpose-built Jamatkhana, and upon request by Scarborough Jamatkhana’s (SJK) RefleXtions Team, Zahira Dhalwani has composed a song titled “Scarborough Jamatkhana Diya” which begins by thanking Mawlana Hazar Imam for granting the Scarborough Jamat’s desire and request for this Jamatkhana. The song further reflects upon the importance of this building as a space of prayer, of search for inner peace, tranquility and contemplation and a space for community service and interaction.

Zahira debuted this song on March 17, 2012 at Scarborough Jamatkhana during its most memorable 10th year anniversary and Navroz celebrations.

    The harmonics that you’ve woven into the expression of lyrics renders yours a ‘one of a kind’ talent, that’s without doubt been meticulously nurtured. Not only are you exceptionally gifted, Zahirah, but your generously sharing it with the Jamat makes the Jamat itself stronger for it.
