The Houston Convention Center Hotel Corporation is a non-profit corporation created February 2, 2000, by the Houston City Council, whose primary focus is to envision, fund, develop, construct, operate and maintain a flagship convention headquarters hotel adjacent to the expanded George R. Brown Convention Center.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Moez S. Mangalji. Mr. Mangalji is principal and partner of the Westmont Hospitality Group which consists of a diversified portfolio of limited and full service hotels and other real estate located throughout the United States. Mr. Mangalji is involved in numerous organizations including, the Greater Houston Partnership, American Hotel and Lodging Association, Holocaust Museum Houston, Young Presidents Organization and the Asian American Studies Center at University of Houston. He also served as past president of the Ismaili Council for Southwestern United States.
Congratulations to Moez- well deserved! Fine family and a great hotelier (and I might add, as a former employee, he’s a very great person!). He and his family are an asset to Houston.
