Nafeesa Karim is a broadcast journalist with CKNW News Talk 980 in Vancouver. Nafeesa Karim’s blog (nafspeak) has been previously featured in Ismailimail.
While attending UBC, she was elected to various positions on the Arts Undergraduate Society and served as the Media Coordinator of Arts County Fair.
Karim graduated from the BCIT Broadcast Journalism Program in 2007 and started working at CKNW NewsTalk 980 after winning the 2006 George Garrett Award. Karim credits her UBC experience with developing her research and writing skills which are key to a successful career in journalism.
