‘Belief in a Golden Age’, a two-part series broadcast on the BBC World Service’s Heart and Soul programme. The series focused on Baghdad during its high point in the eighth and ninth centuries, when it was the capital city of the ‘Abbasid caliphate. Dr Omar Alí-de-Unzaga, Academic Co-ordinator of Qur’anic Studies at Institute of Ismaili Studies, was recently interviewed for the program.

I am thankful for having been informed on this. What a delightful and enriching broadcast! If by any chance Dr. Omar Ali de Unzaga reads this comment, I would like him to receive my warmest salaams (during a youth summer programme held in Portugal in 1989, he – and everybody else indeed – used to call me ‘Sara Massi’).
