Robin in my garden
By NB

Robin in my garden,
Sitting in a tree,
Looking at me

Robin in my garden,
Sitting on a bush,
Singing his lovely song,
As we hum along

Robin in my garden,
Sitting on a rock,
Watching my kitchen clock,
As it goes “tick tock”

Robin ’round the bend,
Looking at my friend,
I hope Spring will never end!

I see the robin now,
I saw the robin then,
I hope that soon, I’ll see the robin again!

  1. Oh Nabeela,

Outright beautiful especially at your age. I am sure you must feel as proud as you have made us all feel. Continue the good work.

  2. I am happy Ismaili Mail has taken the initiative to publish this submission which Nabeela submitted for Coleurs d’amour (Colours of Love), orgainzied by Jamati Institutions in Canada for the Golden Jubilee.

There were hundreds of absolutely maginificent submissions made by artists, poets and writers which I am afraid the Jamat was not able to view because Jamati members, both Canadian and from other countries were, by and large, engrossed with the Darbar specific matters and preparations.

I hope all the contributors can somehow collaborate and make their works available for others to see on the internet, perhaps through a special web site.

Nabeela and Bilaal – both very young, extremely energetic and vibrant – can probably take an initiative to make things happen!

    Who else?
