Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajiun. Ameen! “To Allah we came, and to Him is our return. Amen!” May Allah Almighty grant forgiveness, eternal rest, and mercy to the blessed soul of the martyr, Hazrat Muhtarama Begum Benazir Bhutto Sahiba, al-Marhuma. She was an indefatigable symbol of Muslim womanhood and enlightened Islamic moderation. May we never forget her illustrious example of bravery and martyrdom for the cause of genuine peoples’ rule in Pakistan. May the Muslim women find in her a beautiful exemplar to emulate. May Muslim women, like her, proudly take their rightful place under the sun of freedom, equality, and justice. May Muslim men find her a shining model of courage, firm determination, and steadfastness. We pray to our Hazrat Allahu Taala to send us thousands of Benazir Bhuttos whose lives are willing and ready to be sacrificed in the altar of freedom. I feel very forlorn and depressed upon hearing of her untimely demise, but I rest my hope in the justice of Hazrat Allah Almighty Who will give retribution for whom retribution is due. I trust in the justice (adl) and taqdeer (predestination) of Allahu Taala. Inshaallah, the real perpetrators of this despicable act will be brought to the iron hand of divine justice. I supplicate to Almighty Allah that He will illumine the blessed grave of al-Marhuma, Hazrat Begum Benazir Bhutto Shahida. May she receive manifold mercies and compassion from Jenab-e-Haqq Hazrat Allahu Taala. May Hazrat Rasulullah (alayhis salaat was salaam) and Hazrat Abubakr Siddiq (radhiallahu anhu), who is the greatest friend and vizier of Hazrat Prophet Muhammad (salaam) give their intercessions (shafaat) for her eternal repose. May the angels bring her to Jannatul Naeem (promised Paradise). Ameen, thumma Ameen! May Marhuma Benazir Bhutto Shahida who was the “Aishah Siddiqa, al-Thani” (second to Hazrat Aishah Siddiqa) in courage, bravery, determination, and resolve be our guide and inspiration to fight for freedom, peace, and equality. Benazir Bhutto, Zindabad
