ISLAMABAD : The caretaker Federal Minister for Education, Science and Technology Shams Kassim Lakha vowed that all the policies initiated and implemented by the previous government in the education sector would continue with the same spirit, says a press release issued here on Saturday.
This he said while chairing a high level meeting of the officers and head of the wings of the Ministry of the Education here today.
The caretaker Minister told the meeting that he was above political considerations and would continue with the same approach till the new set up arrives through the general election and maintain that its priority would be to ensure the timely implementations of the educational project in the pipeline.
The New Education Policy, the meeting decided would soon be placed before the cabinet for the approval as it had already been widely circulated among all the provinces, stakeholders and their view incorporated.
The Minister also approved the proposal of the meeting to make Islamabad Capital Territory 100 percent literate by enrolling all the out of school children and establishment of more schools, if needed.
