Khursheed

Khursheed Nurali is Tanzanian by birth and was trained by Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan, Ustad Umrao Bundu Khan and Ustad Phool Mohammad Khan.

Khursheed began singing professionally at the age of fourteen. Within a few years, she was performing on Radio Pakistan, playback singing in Pakistani Films, and had her own monthly TV show in Dhaka.

With a voice that has been ringing through the ears of her listeners for decades, Khursheed has been blessed with the opportunity to perform for the community and Mawlana Hazar Imam numerous times throughout her life.

Khursheed Nurali is a towering figure in the Ismaili devotional geet scene. Many of her geets written by the legendary songwriter Hassanally G. Rammal (Suman) and sung decades back are still very popular today – they have become quintessential classics. She is such a wonderful gift to us all.

Khursheed currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
