The Aga Khan University family has a new member who’s been hiding across all campuses. To highlight its growing student centered approach, AKU has adopted a mascot which students can rally around in their co-curricular and athletic activities. Following the grand unveiling as their mascot, the AKU Leopard is finally able to emerge from under the covers.
The Leopard was carefully chosen to be representative of the global AKU community and the values it stands for. A leopard is a majestic and graceful creature, with the fearless independent spirit of a leader, and the embodiment of strength and resilience.
Like the AKU Community, the AKU Leopard stands for Courage, Agility and Perseverance. Capable of adapting to various environments, it represents strength, independence of thought and action and the determination to overcome obstacles.
