World Partnership Walk 2019: Change Happens One Step at a Time

35In 1985, a group of women persuaded 1,000 Canadians to join them in a walk to fight global poverty and raised $55,000. Thirty-five years later, the World Partnership Walk is an annual event, held across Canada that has raised more than $100 million – making it the largest event in Canada in support of international development.

Change happens one step at a time so take that step this year by joining the Walk:

Funds raised by World Partnership Walk support development initiatives that help millions of people in Africa and Asia break the cycle of poverty and improve quality of life. Watch the video below to witness the impact your contribution has made.

Each World Partnership Walk team has a unique story and motivation. For some, it is a great way to mobilize their friends and family to put their global citizenship into action. For others it is a fun opportunity to engage colleagues or classmates in a cause that is close to their hearts.
