Son of Rukhsana Karmali – Teen Taal by Rahul-Ghalib Verma

It is rare to find young individuals who are dedicated to classical Indian Music. But 20 year old Rahul-Ghalib Verma has been learning Tabla and Harmonium since he was 5 years old in Uganda.

Son of renowned musicians Raj Kumar Verma and Rukhsana Karmali, Rahul has been part of the recent Golden Jubilee releases: Ek Vaar Maarey, Jashney Diamond Jubilee, Global Garba, Ya Ali Fakhre Khuda, where he played tabla, guitar and keyboard for Rukhsana Karmali.

Rahul is versatile in both classical and contemporary music. Living in Uganda and currently in his second year of Business Administration, he still continues to record and learn music, which is commendable considering he is not in a classical music environment.
