Shahzadi Devje partners with celebrity chef Charles Mattocks in the first docu-series tackling diabetes

Shahzadi DevjeSet to air on July 18th, 2017, at 7pm on Discovery Life channel, this docu-series unveils the truth of living with diabetes – the struggles of managing daily blood sugars, challenges around food choices, fear of exercise and movement, and the emotional rollercoaster for the one affected, as well as their family members.

Shahzadi Devje, brings her expertise to the show as a Nutritionist and Diabetes Educator, to support the guests in their journey and empower them to participate in the self-management of their condition. As you watch this docu-series, created by Charles Mattocks, nephew of legendary Bob Marley, you will witness the journey of 5 persons living with diabetes, and how they are transformed from a place of fear, frustration, and confusion to hope, confidence and total control.

A central feature of the show is to “reverse” the mindset and habits of those living with diabetes; their food choices, exercise habits, and attitudes towards self-care and diabetes management. The goal? To improve the health and well-being of each person living with diabetes – those on the show and those watching at home.
