The Edmonton Public Library Board consists of 10 Trustees, one of whom is a member of City Council.
Vice-Chair Nazir Mulji
Nazir Mulji brings a wealth of diverse professional public, private, voluntary sector experience to his role as a Board Trustee. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Certified Management Accountant designation, completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting at the University of Calgary.
Zainul Mawji
Zainul Mawji leads the Market Strategy & Execution team for TELUS Broadband – a program that is bringing advanced fibre-optic connectivity to homes and businesses across Canada. After completing her MBA degree at the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business, Zainul joined TELUS in 2001 as an Investment Resource Manager. During her fourteen years at TELUS, she has held various positions in Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Business Transformation (IT), and Technology Operations.
Aaida Peerani
Aaida Peerani is a staff lawyer at the Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta, which is a non-profit organization committed to advancing social justice. Previously, Aaida worked as a lawyer at Miller Thomson LLP in the corporate/commercial and private client services departments with significant experience in litigation. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology with distinction from the University of Alberta and thereafter, graduated with a JD/MBA from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business.
